These are the contour drawings that we did on campus. It was incredibly hot that day and I was miserable. The bottom drawing is my first attempt, which looks rushed. I actually had less time to draw on my second try with this sketch, and I think it still looks better.

simple yet sophisticated
In your second one it looks as if you made choices about the level of detail. Since you didn't have much time you kept it all simple and it gives the picture a calm, uniform look. I like it.
